VI. John William GIBSON (1844-1911) m Lydia Charlotte DAVIS (1842-1923)

John was born the 13th of June 1844 in Arkansas.  John was a farmer and was a deacon of Goodhope Missionary Baptist Church in 1897 at Woodruff County, Arkansas.  He married Lydia on the 30th of March 1869 in Iuka, Tishomingo County Mississippi.  John died the 14th of January 1911 in Denmark, White County, Arkansas and is buried at Bethlehem cemetery in the same location.  John's father was John Gibson and his mother was Nancy ?; both were born in Tennessee.  Lydia was born the 25th of August 1842 in Rome, Hambersham County, Georgia and died of T.B. on the 12th of August 1923 in Denmark, White County, Arkansas and is also buried in Bethlehem cemetery.  Lydia was the daughter of Alfred Washington Davis and Nancy Ann Brady.

John and Lydia had the following children:

(1) Charles Ed Gibson was born 1870 in Iuka, Tishomingo County, Mississippi.

(2) Lydia Ann Gibson was born around 1874 in Iuka, Tishomingo County, Mississippi and died in 1955 at Hot Springs, Garland County, Arkansas.  She was married to John Alfred.

(3) John Oce Gibson was born the 30th of October 1876 in Iuka Mississippi and died on his birthday the 30th of October 1955 in Denmark, White County, Arkansas.  John married Nora Hickman on the 5th of February 1911 in Denmark, Arkansas.

(4) James Marion Gibson was born the 1st of December 1878 in Iuka, Tishomingo County, Mississippi and died the 24th of March 1911 in McCrory, Woodruff County, Arkansas and is buried in Beard's Cemetery in McCrory.  James married Ollie Mae Henderson on the 12th of November 1899 in DeView, Woodruff County, Arkansas.

(5) Thomas E. Gibson was the twin brother of James Marion and was also born on the 1st of December 1878.

(6) Emma Gibson was born in 1881 at Iuka Mississippi and married Ben Buckley around 1911.

 

 

V.  James Marion GIBSON (1878-1911) m Ollie Mae HENDERSON (1880-1950)

James was born on the 1st of December 1878 in Iuka, Tishemingo County, Mississippi and died from pneumonia on the 24th of March 1911 in DeView, Woodruff County, Arkansas and is buried in Beard's cemetery of the same locale.  James married Ollie Mae on the 12th of November 1899 in McCrory, Woodruff County, Arkansas.  James was a farmer, carpenter and member of the Goodhope Missionary Baptist Church in Woodruff County, Arkansas as well as a member of the Woodmen of the World.  Ollie Mae was born on the 12th of November 1880 in Hickory Valley, Hardeman County, Tennessee and died from a cerebral hemorrhage on the 3rd of February 1950 in North Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas and is buried in the Woodman cemetery at McCrory, Woodruff County, Arkansas.  Ollie Mae was the daughter of Joseph Samuel Henderson and Anna Belle Henley.

James and Ollie Mae had the following children:

(1) William Orlie Gibson was born the 28th of November 1900 in McCrory, Arkansas and died the 4th of January in the same location.

(2) Zelma Annabelle Gibson was born on the 31st of January 1902 in McCrory, Arkansas and died the 12th of May 1978 in Jacksonville, Pulaski County, Arkansas and is buried in the Old Austin cemetary in Old Austin, Lonoke County, Arkansas.  Zelma married Horace Thomas Kee on the 31st of May 1922 in DeView, Woodruff County, Arkansas.

(3) Wilma Emma Lydia Gibson was born the 19th of May 1903 in McCrory, Arkansas and died the 20th of January 1970 in Baughs Chapel, Lonoke County, Arkansas and is buried at Rest Hills cemetery in North Little Rock, Arkansas.  Wilma married Alonzo Durward Clark on the 14th of February 1925 in McCrory, Arkansas.

(4) Gladys May Gibson was born on the 30th of January 1905 in McCrory, Arkansas and died the 29th of October 1971 in North Little Rock, Arkansas and is buried at Rest Hills cemetery in North Little Rock, Arkansas.  Gladys' first marriage was in 1922 at McCrory, Arkansas to Paul Elam and her second marriage was to Wesley Roberts in 1934.

(5) James Orville Henderson Gibson was born on the 20th of July 1908 in McCrory, Arkansas and died on the 11th of April 1968 in Little Rock, Arkansas and is buried at Pine Crest in Alexander, Pulaski County, Arkansas.  James' first wife was Clover Jeffries in 1935 and his second wife was Selmarie Richardson and they were married on December 5th 1954 in Memphis, Tennessee.

(6) Maggie Opal Gibson was born on the 6th of December 1909 in McCrory, Arkansas and died the 19th of February 1986 in North Little Rock, Arkansas and is buried at Rest Hills cemetery in North Little Rock, Arkansas.  Opal married Roland Totty on the 15th of October 1933 in Hunter, Woodruff County, Arkansas.

 

 

IV.  Wilma Emma Lydia GIBSON (1903-1970) m Alonzo Durward CLARK

Alonzo was born on 19 December 1901 at Little Rock, Pulaski County, AR and died on 17 may 1967 at N. Little Rock, AR.  He married Wilma Emma Lydia Gibson on 14 February 1925.  Wilma was born on 19 May 1903 at Mc Crory, Woodruff County, AR and died on 20 January 1970 at Austin, Lonoke County, AR.  She was the daughter of James Gibson and Ollie Henderson.
