IX.  George Friedrich KNAPP m Catharina WAGNER

Friedrich was born around 1737 in Germany.

He had the following children:

(1) Joseph Knapp was married to Maria Elizabeth Hasselin.

 

 

VIII.  Johann Josef KNAPP m Maria Elizabeth HASSEL

Johann was born on 19 May 1777 in Freiburg, Germany and he was a shoemaker by trade.  He married Elizabeth Hassel on 18 April 1809 and the marriage was witnessed by Peter Hassel and Georg Schorn and recorded by the reverend M. J. Unkelbach.  Elizabeth was born on 3 JAnuary 1781 and she was the daughter of Peter Hassel and Anna Maria Leib.

Joseph and Maria had the following children:

(1) Johann Peter Knapp was born on 14 April 1810 in Weinheim, Germany and died in 1866 in Little Rock, AR.

(2) Anna Maria Knapp was born on 20 August 1812 in Weinheim, Germany.  She married Fredolin Zehl on 23 November 1843 in Little Rock, Pulaski, Co., AR.

(3) Anna Catherina Hesselin Knapp was born on 6 October 1815 in Weinheim (Zier), Germany and died on 26 November 1896 in Little Rock, AR.  She married Henry Fischer on 2 February 1839 in Little Rock, AR.

(4) Henry Knapp was born in 1820 in Baden, Germany and died in 1866 in Little Rock, AR.  He married Mary Heilman on 27 January 1846 in Little Rock, AR.

(5) Friedrich Knapp was born on 1 December 1823 in Weinheim, Germany.  He was baptized at the Church of St. Laurentius.

(6) Elizabeth Knapp was born in 1825 in Weinheim, Germany.  She married Jacob Waltman on 23 November 1843 in Little Rock, AR.

(7) James L. Knapp was born in 1826 in Germany and died on 25 January 1878.  He married Elizabeth Holman on 1 August 1844 in Saline Co., AR.

 

 

VII.  Anna Catherina Hesselin KNAPP (1815-1896) m Henry FISCHER (1818-1868)

Anna was born on 16 October 1815 in Weinheim, Badan, Germany and died on 25 November 1896 in Little Rock, AR.  She was christened on 26 April 1829 in the First Communion Parish Church in Weinheim, Germany.  Anna married Henry Fischer on 14 February 1839 in Big Rock Township, Pulaski Co., AR.  Henry was born in 1818 in Attenburg, Saxony, Germany and he died on 13 June 1868 in Little Rock, Pulaski Co., AR and is buried in Calgary Cemetery along with his wife.  Henry was a master carpenter and both Henry and Anna were members of the Catholic Church.  Henry and Anna came to Little Rock in 1837.

Anna and Henry had the following children:

(1) Henry Fischer, Jr. was born in 1840 in Little Rock, AR and he was killed on 1 January 1863 at the Battle of Stone's River in Murfreesboro, Rutherford Co., TN.  He married Annie K. Murphy on 2 June 1861 in Little Rock, AR.

(2) Charles Jacob Fischer was born on 5 November 1841 in Little Rock, AR and died on 18 May 1908 in the same location.  His first wife was Ella Heinz and his second wife was Dr. Selma Wilkie.

(3) Catherina (Kate) Fischer was born in 1845 in Little Rock, AR and died in 1901? in the same location.  She married Morris Wuerpel on 14 June 1866 in Little Rock, AR.

(4) Edward J. Fischer was born on 1 February 1846 in Little Rock, AR and died on 17 March 1905 in the same location.  He was married to Lina Hagen on 20 May 1873 in Little Rock, AR.  Lina was born in 1855 and died in 1932.

(5) Elizabeth Theresa Fischer was born on 12 May 1849 in Little Rock, AR and died on 3 December 1923 in the same location.  She married Charles Durward Lewis on 26 July 1870 in Little Rock, AR.

(6) Augusta "Gussie" Fischer was born in 1851 in Little Rock, AR and died on 17 September 1921 in the same location.

(7) William Charles Fischer was born in 1858 in Little Rock, AR and died in 1936 at 263 N. Manassas, Memphis, Shelby Co., TN.  His first wife was Julia Fazzi and his second wife was Lottie Williams.

(8) Anna Fischer was born in 1862? in Litle Rock, AR and died before 1908.

 

 

VI.  Elizabeth Theresa FISCHER (1849-1923) m Charles Durward LEWIS (1840-1897)

Elizabeth was born on the 12th of May 1849 in Little Rock, Arkansas and died on 1 December 1923 in Little Rock and is buried in Oakland cemetery in the same city.  Elizabeth married Charles Durward Lewis on 26 July 1870 in Little Rock, Arkansas.  Charles was born on the 13th of August 1840 in the Flint District of the Cherokee Nation and died from chronic nephritis on 13 January 1897 in Little Rock (701 Rector), Pulaski County, Arkansas and is buried in Oakland cemetery (lot 87 Magnolia) in Little Rock.  Charles was a blacksmith by trade.  Charles fought for the Confederate States of America and enlisted in Woodruff's Artillery Battery (Pulaski Light Artillery Battery) when it was first formed in May 1861 and participated in the Confederate victory at Wilson's Creek Missouri and was discharged on September 2, 1861 when the battery was mustered out after the battle.  

Elizabeth and Charles had the following children:

(1) Henry Lewis was born in 1871 in Little Rock, Arkansas and died on the 28th of January 1921 in Little Rock and is buried in Calvary cemetery (sec. C, lot 58) in the same city.  Henry married Emma Brunk on the 23rd of October 1895 in Little Rock, Arkansas.

(2) William Hagen Lewis was born on the 23rd of October 1872 in Little Rock, Arkansas and died on the 14th of January 1929 in Little Rock and is buried in Roselawn cemetery in the same city.  William married Kate Dreher on the 8th of November 1899 in Little Rock, Arkansas.  Kate was born on the 28th of August 1873 and died on the 2nd of May 1956.

(3) Elizabeth ("Bessie") Enmarion Lewis was born on the 2nd of August 1876 in Little Rock, Arkansas and died from nephritis on the 14th of January 1915 in Little Rock and is buried in Oakland Cemetery (lot 87- Magnolia) in the same city.  Elizabeth married Walter Cyrus Clark on the 23rd of January 1901 in Little Rock, Arkansas.

(4) Lena "Neenie" Lewis was born on the 11th of October1880 in Little Rock, Arkansas and died on the 4th of August 1931 in Little Rock and is buried in Calvary cemetery in the same city.  Lena married John "Jack" Humphrey McCarthy around 1900 in Little Rock, Arkansas.

 

V.  Elizabeth ("Bessie") Enmarion LEWIS (1876-1915) m Walter Cyrus CLARK (1871-1928) 

Elizabeth was born on the 2nd of August 1876 in Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas and died from nephritis on the 14th of January 1915 in Little Rock and is buried in Oakland cemetery (lot 87 - Magnolia) in the same city.  Elizabeth married Walter Cyrus Clark on the 23rd of January 1901 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Elizabeth was affiliated with the Catholic church.  After Elizabeth died, her children Alonzo and Evelyn lived with Will and Kate Lewis and Evelyn was later adopted while Catherine was given to Lena Lewis McCarthy.  Catherine was sent to Mount Saint Mary's Boarding School where her great aunt was the mother superior.

Elizabeth and Walter had the following children:

(1) Alonzo Durward Clark was born on the 19th of December 1901 in Little Rock, Arkansas and died on the 17th of May 1967 in North Little Rock, Arkansas and is buried in Rest Hills cemetery in the same city.  Alonzo married Wilma Emma Lydia Gibson on the 14th of February 1925 in McCrory, Woodruff County, Arkansas.

(2) Catherine Clark was born on the 30th of May 1904 in Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas and died the 19th of May 1992 in Fremont, California and is buried in Holy Sepulcher cemetery in Hayward, California.  Catherine married Sylvester J. Hampel on the 2nd of April 1923 in Little Rock, Arkansas.

(3) Evelyn Lucien Clark was born on the 14th of November 1910 in Vicksburg, Warren County, Mississippi and died on the 19th of February 1990 in North Little Rock, Arkansas and is buried in Roselawn cemetery in Little Rock, Arkansas.  Evelyn married Charles H. Beroset on the 14th of February 1936 in Little Rock, Arkansas.  

 

IV.  Alonzo Durward CLARK (1901-1967) m Wilma Emma Lydia GIBSON

Alonzo was born on 19 December 1901 at Little Rock, Pulaski County, AR and died on 17 may 1967 at N. Little Rock, AR.  He married Wilma Emma Lydia Gibson on 14 February 1925.  Wilma was born on 19 May 1903 at Mc Crory, Woodruff County, AR and died on 20 January 1970 at Austin, Lonoke County, AR.  She was the daughter of James Gibson and Ollie Henderson.
